Season two of Access Caribbean is coming to a close. We flew to St. Kitts via Liat for the 10th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival. That was soooo much fun. We met many people including Beenie Man, Shaggy and the guys from Morgan Heritage who were so sweet and down to earth.

For this Episode, we joined the Hackshaw's Boat Charters on a whale and dolphin safari. We had such a great time on the Lady Hack, sailing all the way to Soufriere and then back up to Marigot. At JJs Restaurant, there was an amazing buffet lunch spread out for us. Oh, let me not forget the most important thing: we saw soooo many beautiful dolphins along the way. This is an experience you must have atleast once!

Rainforest Sky Rides

For this episode, we joined RainForest Sky Rides in Babonneau (in the north of St. Lucia) to take a scenic aerial tram ride from Tete Chemin in the Chassin area, to Piton flor and La Sourciere. At one point, we were about 100 feet in the air, riding in a gondola. The tour is facinating and very educational as the guides are extremely knowledgeable about the forest. I even got to swing 'tarzan' style on a vine!

Captain Mike's Sport Fishing

For the second half of the show, we went sport fishing on Captain Mike's Hack Attack. I think we were all half asleep because the call time was 7:30 am and getting up that early on a Saturday is always hard. Anyway, we had a great time fishing!

St. Lucia Jazz 2006 started off with a huge bang at the opening featuring Marchel Montano, TOK and our own Alpha(he's hot). Unfortunately we all missed that show because we were in Dominica filming. Anyway the Jazz season continued with performances all over the island. Main stage on the weekend was excellent with Al Green on Sunday being our favourite. We all needed a week to recover after that.

Dominica, The Nature Isle

We hopped aboard L'express Des Iles in Castries, St. Lucia. Destination: Dominica, the Caribbean's nature isle. Davina, Charlene, guest host Karlyn and I (Esther) spent four days touring the island. First stop, the capital city Roseau where we checked into our hotel and went shopping (we are girls of course) at the craft market. The next day we drove to Grand Bay, south of Roseau to met Dominica's singing superstar Michele Henderson (also a performer at this year's Jazz Festival in St. lucia). She was really down to earth and sweet and her mom even made us some great tasting cherry juice. yummmy.

The day after we went to Wacky Rollers Adventure Park for two hours of scary, adrenaline pumping action. We were about 50 feet above ground balancing on wires, moving logs and swinging into a net. Plus, we did the obstacle course in heavy rain!! OH MY!!

For this show we joined Shaid Rambally in Marigot Bay to go sailing aboard Bateau Mygo. I got to drive the boat and went kayaking at Anse Cochon. Davina of course had her life jacket on for most of the trip! Later in the show, we went to Soufriere in the south of St. Lucia to visit the Fond Doux Cocoa Plantation.

For the second half of the show, we joined Captain Mike's for a whale and dolphin watching excursion. There is a 75% chance of spotting the animals, so we were lucky. We sailed out of Castries (in St. Lucia) and headed down south towards Soufriere aboard the Free Willy.

Rainforest Canopy Adventure

This show was action packed!!! First, we went to Dennery on the east coast of St. Lucia to join Palm Services Ltd. at the Rainforest Canopy Adventure. This experience is an adrenaline rush as you get strapped to harnesses and fly through the air (on cables of course) approximately 45 feet above ground. Our guide Wil Wilson was not only entertaining but he also took over the camera while zipping on the cables. Later in the show we hopped aboard Captain Mike's Free Willy to go on a whale watching expedition. Take a look!!

For Episode Five of this season we filmed a tasting party for the drink Javalatte at the Blue Martini in Rodney Bay Village. We boogied down all night. The photos from the end of the night have been removed due to their shocking nature!! Just kidding!

We had ALOT of shooting to do for this show. We featured the restaurants Chateau Maygo in Marigot Bay and The Edge in Rodney Bay Village. We also held a tasting party for the new drink from St. Lucia Distillers, Javalatte, which is also featured in this episode. The food at Chateau Mygo and the Edge was sooooo good. I had to drink more than enough of Javalatte at the tasting party. Oh my job is so hard!

Island Adventure

We joined Island Adventures on a half day tour to Millet, the Anse La Raye Waterfall and a hike through the rainforest. We had to wake up at 6am on a Sunday morning which nobody likes to do, so we were all half asleep for the first hour! St. Lucia is really a beautiful place but we forget that sometimes because we see it everyday. Take a look at the pics of the waterfall.

Europe, Here We Come!

In November 2005, Davina, Charlene & myself flew to London, UK for the World Travel Market, a travel and tourism tradeshow and conference. We spent three days in London, then flew to Germany. We were in Germany for only a few hours and after that we drove to Luxemboug, a neighbouring country. That trip was soooo much fun but hell at the same time. Traveling to these countries means lots of time spent at the airport lugging baggage and equiptment for the show. Plus it was bloody freezing!!!
